Formatting the research paper or essay can give you severe headaches especially when you aren’t familiar with the nitty-gritties of formatting styles. However, once an essay writer grasps the idea of formatting then believe me it will become as easy as ABC.
Typically, professors reserve bonus points to give to the students who have formatted their papers as per their instructions. However, even if you aren’t bound to format your paper or essay according to the specific then you have the leverage to pick the one you like.
Are you assigned a task to write an essay or a research paper? Have you completed your work and now aren’t sure which formatting style is most suitable for your paper of essay? If your answer is affirmative to the above questions, then let me put a full stop to all your queries by answering your questions.
If your paper is on a topic that is related to computer science or other technical fields then I suggest you use the IEEE formatting style. IEEE stands for “The Institute of Electronics and Electronics Engineers”. This style is based on the Chicago format.
Regardless of the formatting style, it is imperative that you ensure perfection by following all the formatting requirements to attain maximum accuracy.
I know you must be panicking but don’t worry I am here to help you out. This guide will facilitate you in learning more about the IEEE citation style and how you can format your paper as per IEEE format. So, follow the tips below so that you can format your paper or essay and can attain the bonus points or you can ask others to write my essay.
Imagine reading an essay where there are certain claims that aren’t backed up properly. How will you feel reading that? Of course, you will feel frustrated since no one is interested in wasting time reading anything that lacks proper research. Therefore, it is necessary to use data from authentic sources while you write an essay or a research paper.
However, what most of the students do is that they use data from primary and secondary sources but don’t give proper credits to the author which is not only wrong but can lead to plagiarism that can cost you your grades. Will you lose your grades just because you haven’t cited the sources? Obviously, not so it is important to give proper in-text citations.
In the IEEE format for in-text citations, you need to use digits and enclose them in square brackets. You won’t have to stick your head into looking for the author’s credentials or the year of publication. All you have to do is mention the number of the reference and the readers can track it themselves.
See that was easy right!
Remember! The number that is the first in-text citation will form the first place in the reference list while the other will follow the same pattern. In case you need help, ask a paper writing service to do it for you.
Reference inside a reference? What is that?
An essay or research revolves around a thesis statement that discusses one specific idea. Therefore, when you are writing your essay you may need to mention certain references twice or maybe thrice.
Don’t panic! I have a simple solution for you. If you have to mention one reference more than once in a while, then you need to use the same reference number that you gave previously. For instance, if you want to use reference number one again then you need to place again and then follow this pattern and rearrange the numbering.
I know this may look a bit overwhelming since you need to keep the track of your references but if you update your references side by side after you put in-text citations then it will become a lot easier for you to maintain the order of the references.
Note: Don’t mess up with the numbering of the references since t is the only way readers can track your sources. So, do it right.
As mentioned earlier, a reference list is the only way the readers can track the sources therefore you need to present every little information to make it easier for the readers.
You need to start your reference with the name of the author. Most of the time there are multiple authors but in IEEE format you can’t put Et al after multiple authors unless the list of authors exceeds more than six people. I know it looks a bit tedious but you have to mention the names of all the six authors in the reference.
By now you must have noticed that IEE is indeed a unique format but wait! Let me tell you one more thing that makes the IEEE format unique. Unlike other formatting styles such as AOPA, MLA, Harvard, etc in this format, you are required to use the initials of the authors first and then place middle name and lastly their surname. Moreover, instead of using the ampersand, you need to use the word “and” while you are adding the names of multiple authors.
After the names, you are required to use the title of the paper or article. You need to use commas instead of periods to add any new category of information. Make sure that you enclose the title of the source in inverted commas.
After the title comes to the abbreviated title and then after comma you are required to add the volume number and issue number of the source. You need to supplement this information with page numbers and boom you are done with making a reference as per the IEEE format.
If you are still unable to grasp this formatting style, then do a lot of practice to understand this style. However, if you need to format your paper and are in crunch time then taking help from an essay writing service is your best shot.
